AREVA NC Inc. markets enrichment services from EURODIF, the operator of the Georges Besse gaseous diffusion plant in France. EURODIF provides 25 percent of the enrichment services required in the world. Some 50 electric utilities around the world -- in the United States, Europe and Asia -- are supplied with enrichment services from the Georges Besses facility.
The plant is very flexible in its operation and produces a very high-quality enriched product, which is available with uranium 235 content of up to 5%.
| The Georges Besse plant has an annual capacity of 10.8 million separative work units (SWU). It has been operating since 1982 and provides enrichment services to over 150 nuclear reactors throughout the world. In 2003, EURODIF reached a production milestone: its 150 millionth SWU. |

Plant operations are optimized based on the cost of electricity. In particular, the plant runs at its maximum capacity during
off-peak periods (normally in summer) to achieve optimum costs. EURODIF has a direct connection to
EDF's (Electricite de France) Tricastin nuclear power station, which consists of 4 nuclear reactors that
supply electricity to the enrichment plant almost exclusively during peak operations.
