AREVA NC Inc. has access to the global uranium resources of its parent company AREVA NC. AREVA NC is a leading producer of uranium, with approximately 7,000 metric tons per year, or 20% of worldwide production.

AREVA NC, a world leader in natural uranium production, incorporates environmental, ethical and social factors into its approach, while ensuring the economic viability of its operations. AREVA NC has been exploring for uranium in Canada, Africa and Australia since the early 1960s. More recently we have been developing mining operations in Asia, particularly in Kazakhstan and Mongolia. AREVA NC strives to develop a diverse portfolio of lower-cost mines and to provide competitively priced long-term supply to its customers.

Our uranium projects in North America

In Canada, AREVA Resources, Inc. operates the following uranium projects, all located in northern Saskatchewan: McClean Lake, Cluff Lake, Midwest Project. The company is also involved in several joint ventures in northern Saskatchewan operated by Cameco Corporation, including McArthur River Mine and Cigar Lake Project. In addition to its uranium projects, AREVAResources manages an exploration program in northern Saskatchewan, eastern Alberta and other locations in Canada.

In the United States, AREVA NC Inc.'s mining subsidiaries have ceased production and are performing reclamation. Our Pathfinder Mines subsidiary received an award for their exemplary “Mining Reclamation and Wildlife Stewardship.”
