Since 1982, AREVA NC Inc., an AREVA group subsidiary, has been a responsible, reliable provider of nuclear fuel cycle products and services, ranging from uranium and fuel for nuclear power plants to used nuclear fuel and waste management. We pride ourselves on offering our customers access to cutting-edge, proven technology in the nuclear energy field while meeting stringent health, safety and environmental protection requirements. AREVA NC Inc. supplies uranium products, as well as conversion and enrichment services, to 80 percent of the nuclear power plants in the United States. Our know-how includes fuel transportation, storage and management. We have a reputation throughout the industry for providing the highest quality on a price-competitive, environmentally sound basis. Our nuclear fuel-cycle expertise doesn’t stop with the supply of nuclear power plants. We also provide -- to utility customers and the U.S. government alike -- used nuclear fuel and radioactive waste management services, including treatment, packaging, transportation and interim storage solutions. Our expertise includes nuclear facility decontamination and decommissioning, environmental remediation, and on-site engineering services. We at AREVA NC Inc. are proud to be participating in the U.S. plutonium disposition program, which converts weapons-grade plutonium that is no longer needed for defense purposes, into Mixed-oxide fuel (MOX) for the generation of electricity. AREVA NC Inc. employs nearly 1,000 people across the United States. |
