AREVA SUBSIDIARY APPOINTS NEW ENGINEERING VICE PRESIDENT

Bethesda, MD – May 6, 2004 – AREVA’s subsidiary, Transnuclear, Inc., announced today the appointment of Tara Neider as its new Senior Vice President – Engineering. Neider will have the responsibility for all Transnuclear engineering activities at each of the company offices. 
Based in Maryland, Neider will be responsible for establishing a new Transnuclear office outside the Washington beltway.
Neider was previously employed by Transnuclear before leaving to join Constellation Nuclear Services in 2001. At Constellation, she held a series of key managerial positions. According to Alan Hanson, Transnuclear, Inc. President and CEO, “Tara’s experience at Constellation along with her detailed knowledge of Transnuclear, makes her uniquely qualified to lead and expand the engineering organization.”
